Birth that Purpose

Five crucial questions man seeks answers to in their journey through life are the question of identity (who am I?), Heritage (where am I from?), Destiny (where am I going?), Potential (what can I do?) and Purpose (why am I here?). Let’s focus on the question of purpose that is, why are you here? The beginning of life is not when a child is born, but when that child reaches the age of accountability, and discovers the reason for his or her existence on earth.

Jeremiah 1:5(Amp) - Before I formed thee in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as my chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

It is imperative to know that God has approved of you; He has a purpose for your life! Many times, we complicate the workings of God. Discovering God purpose for your life does not mean God will show you the whole picture of how your life will be. The things you do on a daily basis as you journey through life serves as a pointer to discovering God’s purpose for your life. As you get busy serving God, He begins to narrow things down for you.

However, there is need for you to understand that the purpose is in you. All you need is to locate pointers to your purpose.

  • Understand that God has already designed a purpose for you and your job is to discover that purpose and not to recreate it.
  • You need to understand the real desires of your heart. What are those things that come naturally to you?
  • What are those things that stir your heart and passion?
  • What gifts and talents flow through you effortlessly?

  •   Seek counsels from matured Christians-matured Christians are identified by character.

  •   Find a church and a pastor that you can share your life issues with-understand that every church has a peculiar anointing which rubs on you and begins to find expression in your life. The church is part of your training process. No church, No birthing of purpose.

  • Listen to the Holy Spirit for guidance in all spheres of your life-this is done in place of prayer and studying God’s word

  •  Become sold out to God. Give Him your best and you will get His best.

  •  Consecrate yourself totally to God. Be willing to do all what He wants you to do
  • Deal with sin and sinful habits. Sin and purpose does not go hand in hand.

The little things you do every day comes together to birth your purpose-praying, studying, giving, working on your character, obeying God even in little things, etc. purpose is in stages, levels and seasons. The growth of your purpose depends on how faithful you are to each stages, levels and seasons. Where are you now on the step of purpose?
